June 2025 vs June 2026
There have been multiple times I have BEGGED God to let me trade places with Cooper. If I could take all the pain away from him I would. However, God has had to remind me time and time again, "Brittany, do you know that I love Cooper even MORE than you do? Do you trust me?"
Some days I might have different answers to those questions but God is gracious through it all š¬
This is Cooper's story. His testimony.
One of the things we've always loved about our boy is how big, kind and intuative his heart is. His nickname, even from a young age, has been "Ferdinand". If you haven't seen the movie, Ferdinand is a big, gentle giant bull. And if you know Coop, I am sure you can see the connection.

One of my fears is that Coop having childhood cancer would harden his heart or that he would build walls that we couldn't reach him through. Protection over his heart has been the heartbeat of most of my prayers for him.
And somehow, someway, he's still the same. Different, absolutely. But the same. He's not resentful to God (when he could have every reason to be) and somehow still experiences God's goodness, His protection, His kindness and His love.
This past weekend, I got to hear the most incredible words from him.
"Mom, when do I get to be baptized? I've wanted to for a long time!"
The joy and excitement I've seen from Coop this week has been so tangible. He has chosen to be baptized this upcoming Sunday and he can't wait!
On Father's Day š§”
He said, "Mom, how cool is it that I will get to dedicate my life to my Father in heaven ON Father's Day?!"
If you see me Sunday, don't be surprised if it looks like I've been crying because I can almost guarantee the tears of JOY will be flowing nonstop!
I am one grateful mama š„¹š§” I am witnessing his testimony on a daily basis but one day I can only imagine how powerful it will be when he will share it in his own words.
Medical Update:
Things are pretty steady at the moment! We have another set of blood panels to go through this week and then July is another surgery month. Overall, he feels great, has good energy and is handling everything like a champ. He keeps referring the time to "ring the bell" as "when I am done with cancer". Not sure it will ever feel like we are done with cancer but I can't wait to celebrate the moment he gets to complete his treatments and not have any limitations as a young boy. During the in between we are LIVING life, fear be gone!
š§”Prayer Requestsš§”
-PRAISE God for Cooper's relationship with Him and deciding to get baptized!
-That his blood counts are all looking strong and healthy
-Continued protection around his body, mind, heart and spirit. Especially after getting baptized, I am anticipating what the devil may want to try to throw at him.
-That even one tiny cancer cell NEVER enters his body ever again!
Much Love,

What a beautiful love story. Thereās no love greater than the love of your child. When they hurt we hurt beyond all measure. So glad that God is on your side.
There is NOTHING more wonderful than celebrating a person's decision for Jesus. Tammy and I praise God that this journey is not only heading towards a complete cure of Cooper's cancer, but far more important is that he has become a CHILD OF GOD...forever!!!! We are SO grateful and happy for you, David and your whole family!
Iām not crying! š God is so good all the time! Praise be to God! So very beautiful. Sending prayers for continued healing, protection and provision that can only come from God!
Celebrating with you guys! To God be the glory for all!
