If you haven't heard about the Happy Smackah their story is so inspirational! 15 years ago Dan Cribby had his own medical scare and ended up needing to get his arm amputated to save his life. His friends had put together the very first fun run in support of him while he was in the hospital and it was such a massive blessing to them that they decided to continue it on and bless other people in the st vrain community. Dan and his wife Karen are just pure gold. It's been such a blessing getting to know them and experience their huge hearts! They are both teachers and give so much to everyone around them. Check out his story HERE!
14 years later, my baby boy (and our whole family!) are being honored and supported by this powerful race!! When they called me to tell me that Cooper was nominated by people in the community there was no controlling those tears rolling down my face. I mean, I know the love I have for my boy. I would do aboslutely anything for him and wish I could take the cancer instead of him every day. To witness and feel others love for him too, that has taken us by surprise and is such a massive gift. Karen is such a talented writer and captured Cooper's story so well! If you'd like to read it check it out HERE.
They go all out for this race, sponsors, t-shirts the whole thing! Go check out all of these super generous and loving sponsors!!!!
They even have a videographer Colin Lee Films who was so gracious to do a video for us and interview me about Cooper's story. He is so talented to be able to make my rambling actually make sense! I was so impressed with how well this turned out! This is a video I will absolutely treasure forever. Seeing my kids together, just being kids. That gift is priceless.
This race is being held on May 10th, which is Mother's Day weekend! 🥹🧡
If you'd like to join us you can register here!
I can't wait to see Cooper's face when he witness' all the people who show up for him. People he knows and people he's never met. The one thing that ties everyone together is the love for this little boy. Community, such a powerful thing!
We are SO DANG GRATEFUL!!! I still can't believe that this is happening. We love you all oh so much! 🧡
