We've been keeping a secret...

Cooper Health Update:

WE GOT CLEAR RESULTS! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! When I got those, I physically could feel my chest release. One step at a time, we will rejoice the wins when we can! The week of steroids continued to live up to our previous experiences. Coop gets really tired, blood sugars are a challenge and the "roid rage" is a real thing.

Right before I gave him his first dose of steroids he looked at me and said, "Wait mom, I want to do something before I start my steroids". He stood up and gave me a big hug and didn't let go for a solid minute. Tears just filled my eyes knowing what he was feeling and I wasn't about to stop that hug short! He knew that steroids make him angry and frankly mean sometimes. He wanted to show me some love before those all began. He truly has one of the kindest hearts I know! 🥹

We are through surgery, steroids and have great results. We will do it all again in 3 more months but for now we won't take these "good" days for granted!

WE GOT A PUPPY!!!!!!!

We might be a little crazy but we couldn't think of a better present for our kids for Christmas this year! Christmas just came a little early! 🎄

Meet Beau. Our Australian Cobberdog. We surprised the kids Sunday night and it's been a busy couple days adjusting but Beau is already bonding to all of us and settling in quite well! After one day he's already started using the bell to ask to go potty! I think he is the perfect addition to provide some joy, healing and comfort to all of us. It's been so fun to watch all the kids with him already!

Addy found the name and her and Bria loved it right away! Sadie didn't take long to join in to agree. Cooper was a little hesitant with agreeing to the name at first but then said it grew on him. I told him he could pick the middle name. He quickly said, "Beau Lewis"... no special meaning there, he just liked the sound of it 😂.
